    squeaky boots

Brought myself a new pair of leather boots a few weeks back, meindl gufferts, smothered them in the sports wax that came with the boots but after 15 to 20 hours of wearing them in they still bloody squeak.

Will this go away or is there another product to condition the leather with?

The squeaky boots like a squeaky pack piss me off..

and Micky Duck I know bullers dont squeak.. and no i wont be using my bullers on the hills

It is VERY ANNOYING! Liberal amounts of dubbin where the side of the tongue meets the rest of the boot helped in my case.

I had a pair of boots that squeaked very loudly from something rubbing in the sealed midsole. Bloody frustrating and nothing I could fix. I took them back.

Try Talcom powder( think that's how it's spelt). The stuff you use on babies. Loosen the laces and sprinkle it on between tongue and boot. Stops them rubbing together as you walk. Has worked for me on a couple pairs squeaky boots.

go to your local saddle shop and get a pottle of effax - its a german saddle oil- comes in brown or black - it will soak in to the leather especially if you leave out in sun to warm up- wax will just coat and nothing else
