I've never had a problem being quiet and shooting deer bush stalking with boots, But...
These boonies with waterproof socks just take you to a whole other level of quiet. The best part is how fast you can move at near full stalk noise without expending the energy concentrating. I jogged up the hill to a roaring stag in the bush just at first light before he could quieten up last year and then shot him at 8m. It's bloody hard to break sticks as they are so soft, also you are more cautious where you place your feet so you don't hurt them on pointy bits etc. Also shot sika during summer in the tight scrub with cornflake leaves at 10m this year.
They are slippery in the muddy guts though, especially now I have worn the tread off.
These are drying after stalking sika during the week.
I'll be stalking in them all next week on sika too.
Btw I switch to them from my boots after walking in and then back to boots for the walk out, especially if I have a load of meat on.
