I would just put my knife belt over top.
@Sarvo, I use a gamegear carry cape as a coat and for carry outs. It is thin tough material but has two faults 1) doesnt breath- sweaty back, 2) is open fronted which is no issue for carrying but isn't ideal for driving rain.
How tough is the Poncho material for carry outs ?

You can tell me after you trial one :-)
Payment - some of that sweet Veni from up the back

I think it be a bit bulky over the back and prob still overheat as most of the "supposed" breathable sure don't keep up with whats expiring

Have used ponchos on and off since 1980's, from rubberised ex-German army to the modern ex-german ones. They are certainly a usefull bit of kit once you get used to wearig one, suitable for multi-use. Has to be said that I can't recall any breathable rain gear that doesn't get a bit sweaty with hard physical exertion. Current poncho is getting a bit 'tatty' so might have to look at one of these.
