Time for a decent headtorch / recommendations

After years of putting up with low powered shitty headlamps I have decided it's time for a decent one to add to my pack.
It will be used mainly in hunting situations be it from shooting to walking out in the dark.
I know its been covered before but there's always new models coming out or models that don't live up to the hype after been used for abit.
The Cransky look good from Pierce the Darkness and the Nitecore's look good also but any any model / make suggestions will be taken on board.
    Cheers Viper.

I purchased a couple of these a handful of years back and the same head but in a hand torch. Couple of batteries, both sit in a Kathmandu pouch in the truck. Perfect. Very good quality. They don’t ship to NZ anymore but maybe the AU agent will?

I have a Zebra Light H600w and it is a great torch. Having said that I also won a number of Ali Express head torches and they are every bit as good at a fraction of the price and I have not had any issues with them (unlike my LED Lenser). This is my latest purchase as it has a red light as well.

I've got one of the older Sofirm ones from piercing the darkness. It's done a huge number of hours over the last 2 years, both for shooting and work stuff. I rate it. @viper, you're welcome to borrow it for a bit and see what you reckon.

Nightcore HC65 is good. They are super bright, have a red light and an aux white led light for using in your tent etc for low power drain.

I see there is a second generation now.

I did have a HC60 fail but the rest of my nightcore torches have lasted really well.

The Nitecore HC68 is the current powerhouse along with the HC65V2 - or if you like L shaped headlamps then the HC35 is a beast but lacks the auxiliary function of the 65/68.
The NU32 is also a great option if weight is an issue, not as powerful though.

The best all rounders are the HC65V2/HC68.
