About LinkBacksIt's a pointer & setter trial format. Pointer and setters are commonly held as purely bird dogs unlike the continentals.
I hunt my dogs on fur as well but I still trial. The only times it has disadvantaged me has been simply due to a failure of control. Proper handling of fur is permissible but the dog doesn't gain any credit for it.
