    Smug Dog

Smug bastard retrieved 4 geese dropped in one barrage from the middle of a swift wide river and didnt miss a beat.

I was over the moon with him.

He has never retrieved any birds from swift water let alone geese.
He intercepted them on his own perfectly. Swam like a seal.

I couldn't believe he didn't try swimming straight at them first.
Prick might have a brain after all

He even got a tong up by one that still had some go in it, but that didn't faze him at all. He brought them to hand perfectly and then barreled back down river to cut another one off.

Stoked with his effort. Think I can get over him chewing my knife up now.

Good work to you and your hound, the fast big water is really hard on them.

Going roast one and breast the others.
I already love the cubed way but have never tried deep fried so will give that a go for sure
How long in deep fryer? 5 mins?

That's the thing. He didn't do it the hard way like I expected a dog, new to the fast water. He's big and swims hard.

I was going to call him Moose when I first got him.
Got out voted by the wife and kids.

I think it would suit him now.
