Whats the difference between a Saltega and a Stella?

No way would I ever consider trying to cast an overhead reel, I have an overhead for jigging.

I thought the whole idea of soft baiting was to cast out and retrieve covering more water? sorta like lure fishing for kahawai at river mouths?

If just dropping it down may as well use bait or a jig?
"Hunting and fishing" fucking over licenced firearms owners since ages ago.

That's the idea, baitcasters are built for casting, but you have full control and feel even while letting out line while it's descending after your cast.

With my 6'6" rod and curado baitcaster I can cast a 3/8 ounce softbait almost 80m.

Cast in the direction of your drift, let it sink but stay in touch with it an jig it slightly, lift rod tip, take up slack etc until it's back to you, every now and then pull one in reasonably quickly.

I have been fishing with 2 of us softbaiting and 2 baitfishing quite a bit, the baitfishers always battle to keep up!

Saltega is the Daiwa version of the Stella, just a preference, both awesome reels.
