    bowentown bar

just a note to anyone planning going out through the bowentown bar, the safe water buoy has disappeared and the outer bar marker is now on the northern break, so it either dragged to there or the bar has moved considerably, I went out on saturday and discovered this, the coastgaurd issued a heightened risk for navigation as well.
    cheers

    Sounds a bit tricky
I've been over the Foxton bar at 2.5m and that kept the sphincter tight. Only did that as there were 2 coastguard guys on board showing me how to go over.

Might be best to look at the bar at low tide to see if it looks like it's moved. They are a constant variable

I crossed Bowentown bar multiple times in the 30 years living over that way. Lost two mates when they came unstuck. Worst experience for me was coming in in a four metre lift. Twas a sprinter clinching experience.
