Drove back down to Mangatainoka twice today. Sucker for punishment trying to find clean waters. 200kms and 5 trout landed.
Best was on a black green dotted firefox.

The Manawatu River peaked higher than 2004 during Cyclone Gabrielle.
Also mention that the location over the river is upstream from most Ruahine range tributaries.
This was on the 14/2/23
And tonight on the 16/2/23 thank goodness the plug has been pulled!
