    Don’t use a jump start pack, they have electrical circuits in them and salt water stuffs them real quick.

    I just run 18ah dry cell batteries and they last a full days fishing out Kaikoura.

    Like you I have a single battery setup but put a good size battery in and it would have not trouble running the reel. Remember they are only working for 4-5min at a time per lift.
