Specifically for flounder? I do like the look of those Zman LarvaZ, must resist spending more money on lures!

Specifically for me yeah. Guessing most Zman's are for US species. That long one is from Japan for targeting mackerel.

Will we see a balsa wood hand carved crab lure sometime soon??? Your lures are next level good,I'm sure you would achieve success if tried for flounder too.

I had a few goes using the smallest soft baits the local hunting and fishing (yeah I know pre tarrant) had...they were about as long as the longest white bait but maybe twice the girth and kinda colored like a pilchard.
I got a few hits but no hookups but then I was blind fishing. @Joe Schmo very kindly send over some bucktails for me to try on them like they do in the states but he sent them to @stingray so of course I have never received them.

Tool an old workmate out for a fish yesterday .
Launched at cable bay so didn't have to worry about the tide but the swell at high tide was an arse getting off of the beach.
    Heap of dolphins around.
Wind dropped off and became a beautiful afternoon.
Went shallow for my usual winter gurnard fishing...they weren't there or maybe it was just the slack water around the top of the tide...anyway moved deeper and got onto them and the inevitable spiky dogs..was about 50/50 spiky/carrot.
