Real guns start with the number 3 or bigger and make two holes, one in and one out

Had a day on the Firth yesterday. Slow fishing but got a couple of good fish to make up for it.

    3 generations fish today.
Couple of hours was all that was needed.
Dad was the snapper slayer with each bigger than the last.
We released an 18pounder being only in 10m of water it should have no lasting ill effects.
A longline had a legal king, half a panni snapper and half a dozen kahawai.
The cold barstard wind dropped off and by home time(10am) it was a beautiful day.

Put the net out under a full moon on a frosty night. I was lucky that the ice had broken up during the day so I could pull the net in without hassel.

    3 big Pollock,3 decent cod,3 flounder and a sole.

Heres a bit of a video i put together, our first time chasing Bluefin tuna out the westcoast.
Was certainly a bit different than chasing snapper in Tasman bay!!
    hope you enjoy.
