    4 good snaps a 3 gurnard on rods we decided to pull the pin in the middle of a hot bite as we had a longline down and darkness would soon be opon us.

    Awesome Snapper. Didn't realise how big it was till I saw the Pic of you holding it up.
    Definitely worth mounting. What sort of depth are you catching them? Over sand?

    Yeah over mud/sand bottom.
    5-30m from now till end of March.
    I've been in 15m last two times.

    That's not good news VC, I hope it doesn't get infected but there is a good chance I would say. I guess the fish got the last laugh aye.

    I hope you've got a few antibiotics VC. Since it's so deep you may not be able to tell it's infected from the top, just a sore leg and might leak stuff into ya blood system. It is pretty small though so hopefully it breaks down and pisses off

    Plenty of action at 10m this morning for those that may be interested.



    Its bloody cheap when they are in that close.


    This fella never made it into the pan, just smashed it raw for lunch. Yum

    Those trevs are really underrated, Fantastic eating raw but most SI locals regard it as bait for some reason.

    Kind of the same up here, more so with the older generation. I'm always excited to catch a big trev.

    Very nice fish @kukuwai. Yep. Trevs are one of my favorite to catch and eat.

    @Gibo was surf casting and @Dundee was walking past with a camera. Ha hahaha
    It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
    What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
    Rule 1: Treat every firearm as loaded
    Rule 2: Always point firearms in a safe direction
    Rule 3: Load a firearm only when ready to fire
    Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
    Rule 5: Check your firing zone
    Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
    Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms
