Question Good shoredive spot in between BOI and Whangarei (spearfishing)

Hi all, heading up to Omaha for the weekend and looking to get in for a dive. I have dived heaps around Omaha but thought I would get in the car and drive north in search of maybe cleaner water and better fish life. I did this a few months ago and shoredived off Matapouri which was cool terrain, picked up a solid snapper. Thinking of diving the islands out front of Moureeses Bay this time, any locals want to weigh in? Would this be a reasonable spot?
Thought of Mimiwhangata as an option but only off the shore so wont be able to reach all the islands etc

Dived out Moureeses Bay and said managed a few butters but had a shocker day on the snapper spooking 3 real nice models. Spent last weekend out Coromandel around Ohinau Island and managed a nice 20kg kingi which was epic considering it was only about 4m vis where I shot it.
Pumped for some warmer waters in the coming months
