Thread: Access to Hinerua Hut via Mill Road?

Has anyone accessed Hinerua Hut recently? I've been looking around online and have come across conflicting information. Some posts and sites mention that access across the farmland has been closed, and that farmers are no longer granting permission to cross.

I was thinking of trying the route from the end of Mill Road. Has anyone used this route or have any advice on the current state of access? Any recent experiences or alternative suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

There was acess but now it's all being carbon farmed there isn't....
You can cross the river and follow the boundary fence all the way to start of the track, it's a pretty decent climb but the fence was bulldozed so easy going.
Lot of animals in there at the moment.
Acesss from hinerua road is also closed, the only other way in around the top from Tarn biv and down.
