Thread: 22. RF "Dot" shoot game 100M

After seeing @308mate s report on the Rotorua deerstalkers challenge I thought I'd have a go at adapting the shoot for a bit of fun with 22s at 100M for our Invercargill Rifle Club

Here is the target I came up with, this is a card I shot after the "Match" to see what I could do . . . Spoiler alert, the winning score was 93.2 with second being 87 I think. That's out of 11 match cards shot. The wind here today was savage, a puffy switching left/right southerly of 30 km/h coming over the top of the backstop.



It created a real buzz with the shooters, they all took their targets home.

It's a mix of best 5 shot group of 3, with 10 shots for score. You can't score zero because even if you miss the rounded with all 10 (nobody did) you still score 50. There is a 10 point bonus for all 5 group shots cutting the MOA circle. It's scored 12.9 (10 CM plus 2.9cm) minus your group ES in CM.

So a possible would be 12.9 plus 10 plus 100.10. In good weather it should be doable with a really well tuned 22 and good ammo.
