This years Allan Millar Trophy Memorial Shoot will be held on 10th November 2013, starting at 1100 and the Bruce Rifle Club range, Narrowdale Road, approximately 5 km north of Milton.

There will be someone at the forestry gate to let you in from 0900, so you'll have time to sight in before the shoot starts. You have no limit to the number of sighting shots you can fire before the shoot, but there will be none allowed once the shoot starts at 1100.

    Course of Fire:-

    B. 100m Sitting/Kneeling. Shooting at metallic silhouettes – six rounds reqd
    C. 200m Prone Supported. Bipod or pack/bag. No rear bag, no target style rest. Shooting at NZDA 200m ‘red rings’ – eight rounds reqd

    Rules:
    I. For any centrefire hunting rifle, factory hunter style, no heavy barrel. Thumbhole stocks allowed, but must not be ‘heavy target stocks’. If an aftermarket barrel has been fitted, it must not be of heavy or “bull” barrel configuration.
    II. Scope power unlimited.
III. No “target” gear, meaning shooting jackets, shooting pants, shooting shoes, shooting gloves are not permit-ted.
IV. A shooting mat is permitted.
    V. Suppressors are permitted.

    Note:
Only NZDA members can win the Allan Millar Trophy, BRC members are eligible to take home the John Hay Memorial Trophy.

This years shoot will be somewhat of a trial run for future Allan Millar Trophy Shoots

You will need 20 shots for the shoot.

The top scoring shooter will win a prize.
