    Ballistic apps

It's been done before but there maybe other options now.

I'm wondering what folks favorite programme/App is and why?

Are the bought one necessarily better than the Free ones eg JBM in the net as opposed to their app?

Currently thinking Strelok pro, but am open to be persuaded otherwise

Was thinking of buying smaller ipad/ tablet etc to dedicate to whatever one I choose, my phones screen is too small

Shooter (Ballistic Calculator) by Kennedy Development Group, LLC https://apps.apple.com/nz/app/shoote...or/id478462401

Can do as basic or complete as you want. Can also do comparisons between different ammo etc.

I use iSnipe for no particular reason other than it is what I have always used. Across time I have compared it (by using all the same data inputs), to a number of other ballistics softwares and the answers have invariably always been the same or within a gnats whisper of the same answer. I truly think it doesn’t matter which app you use, the base mathematical algorithms produce the same answers.

Personal preference will play a bigger part in choice than anything, some features will annoy some people while others will think they'er great. I have yet to see one that dosn't work.
I have Balistic AE on my phone, small screen but I have a fold up glasses in a really small hard case like these

I use Strelok Pro (paid). Really like it. Just brought AB Mobile Seems not half as easy to drive as Strelok but I want to try using the Custom Drag Curves for the 30 cal bullets shortly

    Yup just personal preference.
I use shooter coz it works for me.

I can add a rifle and ammo quickly for a client when confirming zero to use in the hills and delete it just as quickly when they leave.
I have strelock as well but I have rarely seen any difference when I compare a solution with shooter. I find shooter less complicated and quicker.

Use it for 4 calibers of my own and has never put me wrong unless I input something I shouldnt

The only thing I haven't been able to find on shooter is "click value"
I have a scope that adjusts .29 instead of .25
I solved it by putting it on a rifle I won't shoot more than 300 yrds with.

There is only one app worthy of consideration if your serious and that is Brian litz applied ballistics.
I wont go into the intricacies but it has absolutely every thing you need for analyzing validations and a brilliant library with true custom bc.
Also has custom drag curves for the transonic and subsonic solutions.
Any body I am setting up for long range I make them spend the $40 on the app so if they have problems I can sort it over the phone.
I have tried them all and this is by far the best if your serious about long range and balistics

Have you had a good play with AB?
I just leave it on basic unless I need all the other stuff shooting way out.
I got one of these now the kestrel 5700 which links to my phone.
Pretty much the be all and end all ballistic solvers as it has a compass for DOF and captures wind direction and speed for your best chance of first round hits

    Plus 1 for StrelokPro
10MRT shooters do it 60 times, in two directions and at two speeds.
