    Handgun shooting stuff

    G'Day Fella's,

Here is an image of the first pistol that I built.
I started with a Peters Stahl oversize double stack Frame and fitted it to the nickle plated Technema Slide then finally fitted an oversize Nowlin .40 S&W heavy barrel to them both.
All the internals were Ed Brown, except for the Sear Spring and it was an STI Ti. Trigger pull was a safe 1 1/2 pound!

This pistol shot exceedingly small groups (sub 50mm (10shot) at 50 Meters) but was confiscated from me and destroyed by my Wanker Govt in 2002ish, as part of the handgun Buy Back Scheme!
FJWH, the slimy little Political Animal!!!

    Double Doh!!

Nice pistol Homer. After The Port Arthur Massacre the Government really tightened up the Laws.

And I'm sure that'd make a real difference... Now they'd just build a bomb or something.

If there were armed citizens there, how many people would he have popped before he was gunned down?

That was a nice gun Homer!

    G'Day R93,

    Thanks for the kind words!
I can't argue with you, as everything Sig-Sauer make, is Bloody Impressive!

I have a S-S Mosquito .22 pistol and have been tempted by the P226 X-5, in 9mm but to many other projects at present!
    Maybe later this year........

    Doh!

Bloody nice bits of kit. I met and shot with Andre Sandmyre the SIG arms agent in the early 90's. I almost got given a 551. Did the original 226 fam cse with him for the NZ Army and got sent all over the show running fam cses on the P226. It was a cushy number for a while.

Sorry R93, I meant to say that along with 2 x X-5's (one each) I also need........

Sounds like the coarse with the NZ Army would have been a bit hard to cope with!
R93, I suppose they were supplying the ammo as well?
    Lucky your tough hey!!!

Yup by letting everyone arm up with pistols, it would make society a safer place. Makes perfect sense.
