Thread: Mossberg mvp 223? Need a replacement for troy pump action, help

I'm in the same boat, I'm planning on replacing my Troy with a Ruger American Ranch, the lifter tab on the bottom of the Mossberg's bolt puts me off somewhat. Although the Mossberg is better set up for accessories if that's your main concern. It might be worth tracking down a Ruger Precision Rifle in .223, It'll be heavy but have loads of real estate for go fast goodies.

Wasn't someone on this forum talking about modifying the Remington or Troy to a fixed mag set up? What happened to that idea?
