    Dunedin based - Long time reader, first time poster

    Hey everyone,

    I'm Dunedin based and over the last few months i've found myself scouting the forum for reliable advice on gear review, etc.
    I'm forever going through the process of upgrading my hunting, camping and fishing kit (I doubt anyone ever stops) and i thought i'd join to hopefully add value where i can from my past/present experiences.

    Recently came outta a 10 day trip into Fiordland for a WAP block, regular hunter around the Otago region, and keen fisherman when the rivers are in season.

    It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
    What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
    Rule 1: Treat every firearm as loaded
    Rule 2: Always point firearms in a safe direction
    Rule 3: Load a firearm only when ready to fire
    Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
    Rule 5: Check your firing zone
    Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
    Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms
