Thread: Long time wannabee hunter, short time FA "owner"

First trip out after receiving license was Stewart Island (of all places) in April. Saw very fleeting glimpses of 1, another in our party saw 2, but no-one managed to shoot anything, not a single round fired in 10 days. Would go back in a heartbeat.
I haven't been out anywhere since, other than to a couple of mates farms after possums.
to be honest, I don't have the faintest idea of where to go, or even how to legally gain access to any of the hunting areas.
Hopefully this forum will be the wealth of information I hope it to be.
