I took a shot at one of the pigs with the 223 at 170m, but missed.

    Great pics.

Continues to intrigue me that hogs do so well in that SI hardscrabble country.

The pigs I've shot in that country have been as lousy as hell, and I wasn't that keen on the flavor of the meat (pigs are what they eat though, and can vary sharply even over smallish distances).

This guy was camped on a week old tahr carcass that we came across while out in the mid Canterbury tops over show weekend.
Charged without warning from close range then swerved off and copped a running shot at 50m.
I'm not a pig hunter, exciting times.
