Thread: 10/22 stock

I did exactly as quentin suggested. Very effective and easy to do. The 10/22 receiver is aluminum so you don't need an expensive tap to thread the hole, you can just buy one cheapo tap of the size you need. http://http://www.nzhuntingandshooti...bedding-30692/
On barrel length, you can go pretty short if you are only using subs, mines 12" and seems to work.
