With mine I still have the fore sight. The thread just finished before the foresight screw so it is moderated and can go back to foresight if needed.

The smith gave it a good going over and a clean bill of health today so fingers crossed my load development goes smoothly.
I am led to believe the serial number puts mine as a 1979 year of manufacture, it's a year older than me
    Just a young one then

Lots of good info here, does anyone know if there’s any real differences between a Miroku MLR and a Browning BLR?

I’ve got a MLR on the way that’s the twin of the one in the op

Its my understanding that the only difference between the MLR and the BLR of the same era was the customer they were made for......I think Miroku and browning were financially intertwined somehow a bit like Mazda / Ford with the 323 and the laser in the 80s....

some might well argue the wee men from land of nippon have been making some of if not the very best steel in the world..think Katana blades.
there is Miroku shotguns that are considered up there with the very best,or at least the best of the 2nd tier clay bird weapons.
in practicle terms there is ZERO difference...pure snob value to say My one is better than yours cause it was made in Belgium....
same argument for howa /weatherby.... same acttion, same barrel, slightly different stock=same gun
I should never have sold the one above.....silly silly boy.

I have different take on it to Tims.....same customer ,different manufacturing plant, same specs, same exacting standards=same gun different stamp on barrel.
