Thread: Character building

Nothing like some Sunday avo character building.
Finished the bedding job and the thread from the bolt got stuck. I thought it would be a good idea to just tap it the last little bit instead of unscrewing it. I put it in the vice and used a punch to gently tap the pin out.
Turns out the bedding compound holding the bolt in was stronger than the surrounding wood.
All that work inletting the stock pretty much down the drain.
I have glued it, but the finish won’t ever be the same
