Very nice, I also have a soft spot for project guns such as these. Often nice rifles that one person has let deteriorate, then they get passed around like the village bicycle until someone fixes them up.
I did a similar project on a Parker Hale Tx1200 target rifle in 308 that was looking nasty. Made a new stock for it, cut the super long heavy barrel back to 16" and reprofiled it to a lightweight contour. Fitted suppressor and scope rings and away we went with a very accurate 308 hunting rifle.
