Im a newbie but honestly I dont think you can get a jack of all trades gun that can do hunting and compete in F class past 600yds. Just one caliber in 308 and reload for 64cents means one set of dies and brass...but at 1000yds a 308 is all but finished, target yes, critters no. Pretty sure Trenthem range wont allow anything over 8mm btw so 308 or less really. I dont think you can shoot a 338, so 7mm? think thats good to 1600yds? For myself Im thinking howa, t3 or sako A7 in 308 with a 6x scope (so 2k) and then a "real" TR grade 308 gun with a decent scope, (so 2.5k+1.5k=4k) bye bye 6k.
:/
not a cheap sport...
Sako Finnlight or Tikka T3 7 mm Rem Mag
VX 3 or Mk4 4.5-14
162g A-Max @ 3050+ fps
