There certainly SEEMS to be ‘something’ missing re the magazine retaining system, I’d need to see another Toz17 to be sure.
Anyway, I fitted a 4x40 scope to the Toz and had a go at sighting it in, the mag functioned ok as long as I used my hand to keep upwards pressure on it.
After a lot of faffing around with the elevation and windage I got it zeroed to about 3/4” high at 25 yards then daylight disappeared…
It was pleasant to use but the cocking on forward push of the bolt took some getting used to after my Sako 22 ‘cocking on bolt opening’ system.
And the Toz trigger?? - it felt like somebody had borrowed some of the mechanism from a Lee Enfield! A lot of smoothish creep then a tight bit just at tgg hi e firing point.
I forgot how light my Sako 22 trigger was when I fired it after using the Toz - the shot went off before I was ready!
I've bought 5 of them, still have 3. All different. I think they are hand made with heavy hammers lol. Love them tho. All tack drivers.
