I here ya… sentences can be lame when you see what offending they’ve committed.

There’s a couple of poachers who used firearms to shoot deer on private land & a gun collector who sold guns to unsavoury unlicensed persons all currently before the courts.

Should be interesting comparing their sentences to those who don’t hold a FAL

I am angry in the extreme that I have clearly wasted my life being a law abiding citizen. I realise now that I should have lived a life of crime and disregard for the law and my fellow man. Remind me why we have judges?

Rule 1: Treat every firearm as loaded
Rule 2: Always point firearms in a safe direction
Rule 3: Load a firearm only when ready to fire
Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
Rule 5: Check your firing zone
Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms

Someone needs to make lawers and politicians look good.

we need to elect our judges and top cops just like the americans, on their past record of sentencing crims.

The last thing in the world [almost] I want is a judicial system like the Americans have.

Makes me wonder whether the judge has a customer-supplier relationship going.

Seriously though, if toerags like the article portrays lived on the same street as the judges in this country, I am 100% certain things would be very different. Having lived next to a gang pad for a year or so, I can assure you that you grow tired of the shit that goes on very quickly.

Many many years ago, I had mate/neighbour who was, shall we say, a little different to the rest of us.
Through our early teens, he would get up to all sorts of criminal shit, but always walked away from court to fight another day. Always.

Later on in life, we crossed paths again, and I asked him straight up how he never got to do jail time.
His response was was that , as a "rent Boy" , he had all the judges by the balls, so to speak

But just think, now that this person has broken the law and used firearms and had illegal weapons, they wont be permited to have any registered firearms. In their possesion.

....... hang on my tongue is stuck in my cheek.

Problem is that crims also get a vote. It could swing the other way, if there are enough of them voting.

Current form, I don't think you have anything to worry about on that front - at the rate we are going it will be a race to see who's last out of the prisons. The last convicted prisoner or the last prison guard...
