This is what happened to me, now every time I ring up and deal with them they accuse me of owning more firearms than I do.

I've got that going on currently, bought a .22 from a forum member a couple months ago and I registered it and my other rifles a few weeks ago. Our forum member did the transfer from his name to mine a couple weeks ago....I just received the email this morning to confirm I acknowledge the transfer and am in possession of the firearm.

If only they looked at my registry details but I guess that's too hard.

Interesting I have recently passed a rifle on to another licensed owner via a dealer so police forms etc. When I was informed it had arrived I called to transfer to new owner very helpful but the funny thing is the FSA don't get sent a copy of the police form not sure why.

VTNZ already invented the wheel with vehicle registration transfers… now wonder why they don’t give us a similar form for firearm transfers?
