    Yes please.

I read an interesting snippet about the British' Cordite alternative, Rifleite (name not taken?), which was used by the Americans in their 6mm Lee Navy rifle, shooting 6mm x 60.

Interestingly, Rifleite, like Cordite, was hot burning and rifling-erosive. May of course just have been a hot load - a 6x60case, and a 75grain bullet at 3300fps/1000mps - quite respectable.
@Cordite, do you have a link or copy of the rifleite article?

Just the wikipedia article linked re the 6mm Lee Navy, particularly the paragraph:

"However, the high velocity 6 mm round was ahead of its time in terms of powder technology and barrel steel metallurgy.[26] In addition to complaints of bore fouling with corrosive nitro-compounds[27][28] M1895 rifles in service began to display signs of early barrel wear and throat erosion caused by inconsistent chamber pressures and powder burn rates, despite the Navy's requirement of nickel-steel barrels.[15][29]"

Interesting factoid that both Cordite and Rifleite were destined to be used in Lee action rifles.
