    Question Brno ZH101 markings

    Hi.
I recently got a Brno zh101. Does anybody know if the barrels were marked as to what the choke is? I’m aware that the 101 meant full choke barrels and 102 were the skeet barrels etc with the 8 different interchangeable barrels, but this gun is not stamped with anything I can find.

Also how to find out the year of manufacture? I know they were pre mid 60’s as this is when they bought the newer zh301 model out. There is stamped on the barrel ‘64’, is this year of manufacture?

    Any help is much appreciated.

I don't know about the Brno specifically, but have you checked the flats of the barrels?

Choke markings might be in metric as it's European, eg. 17,6 or a number like that (diameter of choke in mm)

Failing that your local gunshop will have a simple choke gauge that you just pop in the muzzle. Should give you a ballpark idea.

    Hi
I have a ZH 101 with single trigger. My choke gauge read as top bbl FULL. Bottom is HALF. Typical Brno......robust as hell, and built like a tank. Had mine for at least 10 years. Not the prettiest, but reliable az! Cheers
