Thank you Jhon. Jim160 has PM'd me and solved my problems....Well, apart from the "unacceptable to discuss except in a pubic space" ones. :>)_

Nice to hear from you.......As I live in the past, ( It's a lot cheaper) my current "go to" for loads is the Hodgdon Powder Shotshell Data Manual by Don Zutz - 1st Edition - 1996"... It gives load information for 2 and 2 1/2 inch chambers as well as advice on my latest interest , brass 12 gauge hulls.
However, I have an eye on some MEC press's so if I get one your mention of charge bars could interest me. Thank You.

I will see how "things" progress.
Mean time.....try not to die :>) and enjoy life under our current regime.

The old boy has a MEC press in the shed it hasn't been used since I did some loading 20 years ago. Its in Canterbury though

20 years ago ...Still got all it's "bit's 'n bobs" and you are in South Australia............."Houston, we have a problem" :>)

I have, as yet, not obtained such a beastie. Too many sellers not wanting to drop theirs obsolete press into a cardboard carton and courier by saying......"Must Collect"

Meantime, i will continue trying to persuade "sellers" on TradeMe selling at a "secondhand price" to "get a carton."

I do appreciate your reply Thanks.

Have you found any shot other than birdshot yet? I must be doing something wrong, after all suggested enquiries, I've found none.

thanks. But only it seems if I wanted my Lead already in a hull, or as a fishing sinker or for use in a slingshot.... and even then for these listed products, they are also one of those annoying companies which list products for sale to draw you to their website then tell you, "Nah.... we ain"t got any."

There's quite a few around like that and then there's outfits like Reloaders (no, I don't work for them). Their website accurately reflects what they have.

The worst I have found is a place in the Wairararapa. I rang full of hope for 32/20 brass only to be told "nah, me haven't had any for ages". Pre Covid.

Yeah, the give away is there's usually a small "website last updated" tag somewhere on their front page. When it says '19 April 2019" you know they are wasting your time
