El B, would you put your dog over a bitch from noel, if he does that mating
in short yes , but he wont have pups down until the bitch is 2 so thats one more year and my boy is getting on .Inti will be 101/2 by that time .
Anyone else here have setters ?
if I am right 50% -Im really not sure though .Z Whats your thoughts on it ?
he would appear on all but Lines lines
I dont even know the dog and bitch of Noels pup - who are they ? I know they were from frozen English semen that Ian had put to his bitch but I dont know who she is either
Gameridge Fearn (Sharnberry Quinn x Ki-Ki Gem) X Berry Field Jean (Chywood Enterpreneur of Jonsmae x BlackField Alice)
BlackField Alice was mated to her grandfather (woody)
who was the bitch that the pups are from ? and what was the semen used --this stuff is looking like maths
the first name is the sire, dogs in brackets are his parents, second name not in brackets is mum, dogs in brackets after her are her parents
sICK -Ok -its just an extension of this bill they're trying to put through parliament LOL

where is woody ?
sharnberry quinn ?
How do you mean? Noel has 'Woodys'GRFT CH & FCH CHYWOON ENTERPRENEUR OF JONSMAE (IMP-UK) Semen to use next breeding
what is your dogs pedigree name el b
ahhh so he's putting woody over that pup who's pedigree i posted up.
My dog is North Stream Bebeto
sire =Wingfield Warrior
Dam Lapphaugens H Moulin
If it is the one Ian H Breed and Noel has then yes. That will also depend if the bitch keeps coming along as she currently is which Noels says is very instinctive
when is that litter planed for el brorracho
the bitch is now one and Noel would like to bred at around 2 years old - so around 1 or so years
Who owns Gus. I read the below by FT ,he,s understandably pissed
Moulin had that second litter shortly after Leon passed away. Since then it's
sad to conclude that the NZ setter breeding has been on a downturn spiral.
I have also quit the NZ trials, which all were a bit of a joke. Not worth
spending space about on these pages as they are none of my problem. If
people want to spend time attending those it's up to them, I just continue to
keep my eye and interest on Europe. The latest import from Europe was
Vårhaugens Gus. He was from one of several litters I found and contacted
the breeders by mail and phone about. Leon agreed with the Gus-litter and he
was imported by a third party. He is a well-bred dog, with siblings
performing well in Norway, and I was interested in breeding from him. That
was not happening when I was told I had to pay double mating fee and I
wasn't allowed to sell any of the pups to Australia. A bit surprising
considering I organized the import and quite ironic that the breed now is
dying in NZ and blossoming in Australia from using dogs I have bred...
line bred to woody, repeating it again if the mating takes......... seems to be enough out cross there to stop the fifth leg appearing.
el b,
paying a double mating fee, two pups, and restricting where the pups are sold is not really a big issue, you can see why the politics play a part in the setters.
I disagree with the control aspect of Gus's owner--who is it? Given The amount of Setters we need enthusiasm not a binding cant do this ad that contract .I fully sympathize with FT
that should say a " dont to add to a binding contract" .Frank Tommy obviously went to some effort to help Gus's owner out --I would be very pissed also
end of the day 'gus's owner fronted up with the coin, the stud fee was what it was...... gus's owner could have just said no.
is there enuff interest in setters to put this type of restriction in place, I dont have a problem with double mating fee , if you want to keep a breed going then you have to spend $$$$$ somewhere but with the effort/time/phone bills that F-T put into finding this dog , maybe he should have got 1 mating out of it
from what ive been told and it comes from more than 1 source, The idea of charging F-T double stud fee and not allowing pups to be exported to OZ came from another setter breeder in NZ who had a falling out with F-T and just wanted to fuck him over
Who is the owner of Gus ?
if i could get fresh blood for some time and effort and a few phone calls then i'd be a happy man.
i live in the real world though, even a double mating fee, payed for by selling two pups, so only really a rearing cost involved, is still bloody cheap for a genetic kick start.
the plus side is that he would have gotten the dog he done the research on for very little.
so who is Gus's owner ???????????? Price wise it is cheap given the money paid out to get him in the country but I still question the motive behind the ban of breeding and if one could even legally enforce it ?

i understand what youre saying Kawhia but i dont think Gus's owner would have got a dog without F-T doing all the donkey work
I can see the problem with mentioning a name of a dog owner - FT is on public record venting his frustration about this -Gus,s owner can do what he likes its his breeding -its just a matter of opinion
I agree with you Z 100% hence why FT would be left with a bitter taste in his mouth about this
Is Gus in the South Island ?
sounds like the owner was happy to let his dog to be used....... it was only the price and retrictions the other guy wasn't happy about.
like i said he could have said no, the results from the other guy would have been the same as what he's getting regardless.
the restricted register nzkc now use is great for control by the breeders, if money/agreements does change hands it can be enforced legally.
for the sake of the breed ,F-T could have just bitten the bullet and payed up then we would have seen some (Gus x Line's daughter) pups
Does Gus live in the south Island ?
