The original post said the "first Breton to get any field recognition in NZ".
The Wyngold dog is pure Epagneul Breton bred bloodlines imported from the USA.
There are no Pointer live game trials in the south island so it is not a contest of live v's pigeon trials.
The breed is known as brittany in NZ - there is no difference in registration of pups by where they are bred.
See the Brittany litter advertised on Trademe at present. Dad is an "EB" and Mum is a "Brittany" - all the pups are NZKC registered as Brittany.
That is typical breeding in NZ.
