Yes , this would be one of the few areas that could offer that opportunity !! I may bring that up at the AGM . In saying that our trials are in the off season so we cannot shoot and we share this ground with other people that would not be impressed with clubs turning up clearing the grounds midweek for them to hunt crumbs -the reality of NZ sadly to few opportunities .

i can think of plenty of ground suitable including the fringe ground ground boardering the preserves.
on any normal spaniel live game trial bird numbers shot is less than half a dozen and thats with a full card of entries, ground game is as good as a gamebird by the way...

it's a shame the p/s format has not taken a leaf from the americans and adopted the johnny house and bobwhite trials....... shootable populations of birds can be established on virgin ground within a matter of weeks and legally shot after 30 days........ they would be like candy to the pointers and setters.
