    rules changed yes.

earliest you can get a dog out now is 9 mths, and you would have to buy the pup and have it micro chipped and a rabies vacc's bang on 3 mths old.................... for an adult dog it is 3 months so long as it had it rabies and chip done at 3 mths and vet records of boosters...... being the uk not many breeders vacc for rabies so a 6 mth wait is more than likely.

add in board plus vet expenses any travel time and the costs can quickly add up.
i got a quote to move my new bitch up to the cumbrian grouse moors from 4 hours away and it was 440 pounds for example.

well, actually, Enoch Powell would never have reckoned on the dog passport system through which dogs duly identified etc can pass the borders from the UK to the rest of Europe (and go home again)...hence the introduction of the rabies vaccination regime...fair enough too...

the breeder has no bitches with pup yet but does have some 9month year olds .He is sending me some info Monday via email --very interesting talking to him -he gave me a few insights into someone here he will never deal with again and was appalled by while trying to get some blood for Aussi .The chap is very nice guy and very much an enthusiast and has imported a few dogs from the UK .

plus gst............. you have to pay it at the airport.

shop around on the frieght costs.

even so a bitch here at $4500 will be recouped in one litter........ and you get your replacement pup.

Find out if can fly with the dog as accompanied baggage. Pretty sure that is how my mother in law got some dogs over from Aussie.
