    Thank you. I should have known I was setting myself up for a lot of stick. ;D But you lot are even worse than the other forum!

    The rationale behind using a treadmill was really quite simple.

    My time is limited after work plus age and accidents have made it hard for me to give the dogs the running they need and I decided I to kill 2 birds with 1 stone. Get the dogs running on the treadmill while they are watching training/hunting/trial videos (Sorry, they are not allowed to watch mindless drivel. Educational programmes only. )

    They do get out running for about an hour each night after I get home plus another 15 minutes of training but both need more than that. Of course I am the idiot who took her dog for swimming lessons......... Sad, but true.

    Are you taking the piss? i hve kids that i take to swimming lessons and dont let watch shit on tv!!........how are dogs taught to swim by someone????? no offence but I didnt know swimming lessons for dogs was real.My first dog like prob most on here was taught to swim buy me chucking him of a bank into a river and then i walked off...that dog learnt to swim under water and pick up rocks under water he was a legend.
