Thread: Kennel vs private

So I’m in the market for a dog and I’m somewhat taken with short haired pointers.

There is plenty for sale on trade me and Facebook etc but I’m a bit wary of splashing out that kind of money without having a bit of an idea as to potential health problems.

My understanding is that if you get a pup through a kennel they’re tested on various things that those dogs would be prone to.

What are other experiences and thoughts when buying dogs?
