Size it to roll up and fit inside one side of her saddle bags with a few 1 liter drink bottles in the middle or some dog biscuits.

When we fly camp in the summer she doesn't need anything to sleep on.
But she carries most of our gear with the cuban fiber tarp, water, my sleeping mat, her drinking bowl and food.
Leaves me free to carry out all the meat

But in the winter for long periods of time I want her to have her own space and not steal any of my cloths as a bed
We might end up spending a few days at a time tent bound when the weather is crap

Last Sunday it poured all night and we were very cozy and warm and dry

Complete Kifaru tipi 6 man and pole and pegs 4 kg
Complete Winnerwell fast fold titanium wood stove 2 kg
Shared between a couple of guys and a dog this is relatively light luxury accommodation
Also intended to be for fly in tahr trips with a few bags of fire wood in the load
That is the same solution that I am thinking David.
I have a large foam mat here that is suitable and I take Tess’ micro fleece blanket with me when we overnight. Plenty here for you to take half for Josie if you want.

Ok I will look at the saddle bag and see what polar fleece the cook has here to sew something up out of.
I would want it to be made into one piece because otherwise its likely to migrate all over the place and I don't want her to be getting to near the tipi stove

My grandfather reputedly had a spaniel who was trained to open the end of a sack with its mouth and climb inside to keep warm when they were out in the mai mai
