Went for a hunt with the young fella and a couple of mates and his first trip hunting from the chopper all had a good time and saw some good hogs. Young bitch catching here first pig one out.

I took the other half to the NZKC nationals in Porirua the other day because the gun dogs were on, he does love the look of Viszlas...next on his shopping list! But we saw something like a super giant Beagle. What was it?? Not refined like a Pointer, bit of a boof head actually. There were a few of them in the grooming area.

My guess would be one of the foxhound breeds or a harrier. All just as useless as beagles unless you like chasing/looking for your dog. Originally Posted by Dougie

From the limited pics on Wiki, looks like an American Foxhound. Chur RCGSP. Also, the lady I work for said not nice things about pointers! I was shocked and appauled...she said "You don't want one of those, you want a dog that can DO stuff!" hmmm she has a show Toller? Is that counted as doing something?
