I've not seen anything on the news about deranged neighbour kidnapping a family dog?.

A boarding kennel for a few days, until the move might be prudent. Secret the dog away and out of danger from an obviously deranged person.

Just my two-bits. I've suffered a lot of nuts.

    What a crazy story!!

To be honest no amount of money would make me part with my dog. I'm used to living off the smell of an oily rag and now that I have a better income, nothing in my life has really changed (yeah maybe I can eat a bit better and buy more gear, but I don't NEED either of those). And to be honest, having more money won't change that. Money is easier to come by than good friends.

Haven't seen an update in a while so hope you and the dog are okay!

The silence is deafening.. Would love to hear how it played out.

I would've either sold the dog or opted for a shared custody weekend rental type thing. Drafted a contract/stat. dec. and got them to sign it with a JP/solicitor. They get the dogs on weekends, or every other week, once a month ect. - at a rate of $xxx and that the contract would be reviewed in a year or so. Each year id imagine the connection would grow between them, maybe offering more coin.. It'd make it easier for you to let her go or vice versa.. you still have coin coming in and for whatever reason if you need the injection you could find a settlement. Sounds hectic for the dog.. happens to humans.

Everyones circumstance is different - I supposed if I was isolated/single.. Selling the partner who had filled that void would hurt.. Time would allow me to move through it and I'd buy another. I couldn't/wouldn't sell the dog into a bad/fatal environment. If that was the case I'd tell them to jog on and rather keep the animal.

Each to there own.. If you're not financially driven or just don't need the cash, different story. I hope you're still with us mate and didn't run into NN on your final morning run
