The 300 dakota base and body dia i reload for is .545.
Is this new brass easier to get than a standard old 7 mm RUM?
And whats the brass cost please.
I don't use a 162 a- max past 3250 fps in a light unbraked rifle, when i find im going to hunt in an area that requires more power, in turn requiring a brake, i reach for the edge.
Now that we can make 338 edge rifles under 8 pounds all up, with the best brakes on the planet, i use them.
[QUOTE=7mmsaum;105818]Will be easier an cost is dependant at monent an its nice brass :) an more will be coming as the first shipment is all taken
Can pop the brake on an hunt everything with one rifle or switch to a 180gr berger if you dont want the a-max to fast.
All round rifles are nice hunting rifles that you get to know an they fit like a glove
One of maiseys twist on an off brakes on it with a 26" bbl atleast a non ear exoloding offhand quick shot will be possible . Sonething a edge is not capable of
Plus redding type s dies are available :)
They fire them, but look between their shoulder blades the next day ;) Buff guides in the NT firing 6lb guns in 458 (?) stops em but not pretty on the shooter.
Its kinda like the old saying goes!!
Why be cold when you can be warm lol
If Mr kiwi Greg would be kind enough to post the capacity of the 7 375r? as all my cases went with the reamer
To the shoulder line with 2225 since you have it an water as well?
I'll pop home for lunch and get the 7mm wingman will be good to see

Here it is gave the misses the call
Capacity
Us869. . . . ... .90.2
2225... . . . . . . 83.5
Water . . . . ...91.8
This was over 3 cases and average it was hard to see when at shoulder level and I was on the empty side. It's a size form an load case, not the 4 neck downs inside ream out side turn and anneal I found with the 7 375r case and not Hornady brass either :)
Will be good to compare as they are similar but not the same

Its a simple form so anyone can do it... should be possible to form as you shoot if wanted...
I think the fact that forming simplicity, top end brass and type s dies are possible will make the 7-375 obsolite :)
Not to mention stw dakota type capacity cases
The brass is in wellington now for the wingman now!!
How much for a packet of brass Quentin ???
This looks to be Norma 404 jeffrey brass that can have a few mm trimmed from the neck, is this what your selling quentin, and a price please.
will need the mag bolt face an the mag for the blaser.
will pm you dave
Whats the wingman got over the 7mm practical? Speed wise. Im picking the later would be easier to setup , simple ream and shoot job isnt it? Also what do you think of a short barreld 284 like 18 inches how quick would that get the amax going. #randomdumbquestions.

Well be much of a much maybe little bit on it? And shorter nicer case. The wingman would be as much work if not less as the practical since it's got imp shoulder?
I'd think it would go down to around the 7mm08 speeds at a guess? but not done it to know mate sorry

The standard 7mm RUM is no work at all and with a properly designed lead/throat and barrel type/length can spit the 180g Berger out at 3400+ fps, if you want more barrel life or less recoil just slow it down, 95 grains of 2225 will give you 3225 fps or thereabouts with a 162 grainer, and you will have what you want.
The Berger 180g Elite Hunter projectile is extremely useful around those velocities, even so the 26 inch 338 Edge with a 300g Elite Hunter projectile is streets above it in barrel life, internal and external ballistics uniformity and terminal ballistics performance.
The Edge and RUM are childs play to make ammo for.
Are you asking me or assuming and telling me? , you put a question mark on a statement.
Asking to see your load for that speed. . ,
