For example, I have a dpt over barell modular on my 243, and I use it with a baffle off because it hardly makes a difference. The advantage is less barrel overhang, and remember the magnum starts off with 1" more overhang.

Sometimes it hard to tell unless you have two exact same rifles setup, shooting one after the other you will notice a difference, the db meter sure notices...
