On many occasions when I’ve had the opportunity to provide ale to friends or acquaintances, and the only option is my Lion Brown, i’ve sneakily poured the cans into glasses without them knowing what brand of beer they are drinking.

Whereupon the glass is summarily drained and a refill hinted at.

    Refill granted, repeat.

Usually after half a box I shall reveal the secret and the response is always the same….

[Surprised look] Look, normally I wouldn’t drink that but that was actually really good. [Cue excuses]

The moral of the story is that when you’re thirsty on a hot day, beer is beer and it pays not to be a snobby bastard in case you end up looking a bit daft!
No the moral of the story is Lion Brown is a very nice beer.
Poured in to a cold handle, it's just like drinking a Brown poured from a tap in the pub.
    Overkill is still dead.

I do my own beers and spirits
Mostly Bogan juice for bourbon drinkers and private juice for real men who prefer a Rum
Easy quick cheap and tastes better

I’ve been brewing English bitter at home because I think some of the old classics are hard to beat. I gave my daughter a blind taste and she thought it was lion brown. Now I’m trying the classic Nz bitters to see what similarities they have with the good old English pub beers.
Although I enjoy most I think the craft breweries have gone too far with crazy flavours.

Whilst far from being an expert in beers, I can say the best beer I ever taste is cold and free!
Not as good as in 1990 stumbling on a stash in the bush in the Upper Rangitikei river.

The 330ml will continue to be available but we all know that’s just not the same.

This is the most serious news yet in a world of continual bad news.

RIP Brown Bomber. You have lubricated & refreshed many a hot and sweaty worn out middle-aged ale drinker.

The lady at the call centre suggested I switch to craft beer which was the last straw!
@Dundee… we need to arrange some industrial action.

Scarcely believable? No, try me - I reckon I'd believe (and as a person who has worked in first stage shit at the treatment plant, in turn I would be relieved... There's a reason it's brown there).

From deep in the Chlamydia triangle lurk Waikato beer drinkers, you are what you eat and you sure as fuck are what you drink.
