Greetings Stefanhope, I read through your post and responces to date, most of which suggested you load up a batch and go hunting or words to that effect. This is good practical advice. Long ago I...

Absolutely it is. If you wanted to play with seating depth that may increase the accuracy, or not. Either way 1” is as good as most rifles/ person combination get. What’s of more consequence is...

A 100 metre group under 2 MOA is perfectly acceptable for hunting. 1 MOA or better is target shooting territory!

Load up 20 and go hunting. 1” at 100 will be accurate enough out to 300yds or so if taking shoulder shots on deer.

BSA270 liked post by Pommy On thread : Full Length or Neck sizing. What is better and why?
If you FL size with a minimal shoulder bump, you get all the advantages of neck sizing without any of the potential downsides. Your cases will always chamber and extract smoothly and they'll last...

BSA270 liked post by annzer On thread : Pest control
Mate is having a tough time controlling goats in Redwood plantation, apparently they love gums and redwoods. You need to be a killer though, he shot over 1400 goats last year and he's only part...

The problem is there is a fundamental difference in approach between pest control and hunting. Hunters are you classic sustainable meat harvestors, always in the back of the mind os the need to...

Union makes strength. You can break a match with your fingers... never a hundred matches together.

While we work on things like access, we'd have a better supporting argument if we shot more hinds (or nannies) in the places we CAN access easily or are going already.

It's a grey area.....permit states thermal and NV not allowed to be used for hunting so definitely not on the rifle but could be argued the hand held is ok? That doesn't bother lots of guys...

Yep, numbers are high alright. While I’d love to agree that recreational hunters should be able to have an impact, there’s just too much back country that is bloody hard to get to. Why hike for days...
