I have good success with the CCI subs out to 90 yards. Seems to do the job if they go where they need to

Yes, I love my T1x 17hmr, so did my mate, hence him now having one too  The 17hmr and it's 17gr Vmax at 2550 fps is pretty good, a 17 cal 20gr Vmax at 3700 fps is even 'betterier' lol.

That HMR does some damage! I've never used one, maybe I should be looking at one.... I should have hired your services last year. I was growing Japanese millet for seed and trying to keep the...

Mate, I'm sure the local hawkes know my vehicle. There were several circling as soon as we pulled up, at one point a hawke dropped down onto a rabbit before it had even stopped kicking.

I helped a good mate setup his brand new T1x 17hmr last week, mounted his scope onto it and got him out to zero it 1 inch high at 100 yards, and then validated it out to 200 yards and got him use to...

Greetings, Generally the faster a projectile is travelling the quicker it expands and the less it penetrates. More velocity does not always result in faster kills as you have discovered and it looks...

My favourite bullet of all for the 270 if everything is taken into account and you just want a good projectile that performs well near and far, doesn't break the bank, easy to get shooting well etc...

2209 behind a 130. The sweet spot will be between 53 and 55 grains in most brass with a LR primer. 54.5 and 55 in my 2 .270 Win rifles in WW and PMC brass. N160 and RL-19 are a touch slower than...

I used them in conjunction with oal gauge. I would deliberately seat too long, measure then dial to seat the extra few though. Was a bit time consuming, but worth it.

Yep you really gotta watch .22's especially with subs, ricochets are common. Ok if you are in the middle of wide open spaces with no built up area or roads or anything around. But most of the...

+1 to Viper, and I would add that if you are shooting in areas were ricochets are an issue due to backdrops, the ricochet potential of the 17HMR is way less than the .22LR.

I run both . For me it comes down to the type of land you hunt. I have some tight Matagouri gullies to shoot that require most shots between 10 - 80 mtrs , for this I run a .22. ( suppressed ) Then...
