I've done a few trips into one spot using my MTB to knock off the first 5 k's of 4WD track and stashing the bike in the bush while walking further in. Definitely saves some time and was welcome on...

Choose where you going to drive over and walk it first. If there been no rain or snow melt for 3 days, you should be fine. Its only 22 ks long,it drains out and fills up pretty quick.

So long as the river levels are low, you should have no problems. But if its been NW or coming on to NW then be very wary, it has claimed plenty of vehicles. Low and clear, easy drive.

Rifle hunting pigs in the moonlight was great fun. Get between them and their hole in the fence and often they just keep coming at you. White pigs are odd to shoot as their body is hard to see...

Put a bait out, wire it to the battery in a small travel clock, non digital, which is set at the correct time, the moving of the bait will pull the battery leaving you with a time to be "on watch"

The neck is the best shot on a pig. If going for a head shot aim for the earhole to give yourself an aiming point, otherwise the crosshairs will drift to the centre of the head - the jaw hinge. Just...

Pays to keep your shots in the lower band of side on neck or chest shots. The spine runs low on pigs and they have a fair bit of non vital meat above. Seen a fair few drop then get up and run.
