My view.....make sure you are a good hunter without a dog first......make sure you have good basic sit/hold/stop (one word for all....sit is sit and is stay and hold and stop if that makes sense)...

Bounties on rabbits stopped because , among perhaps other reasons such as funding, rabbit cullers left the occasional rabbit warren alone to ensure they got to cone back and get paid the next year....

Government of nz seem to pay a bounty to have kids in NZ, The more you have the bigger the bounty. Its seems to work:D

I tried bush hunting heaps years ago, had some very limited success but it just didn't spin my wheels. Since using dog though it's my absolute favorite thing to do by a long shot
